Art Therapy In Santa Clarita

Sometimes words aren't enough, or they're too much. Art therapy uses creative techniques to help you process difficult thoughts and feelings, understand yourself better and build healthier patterns, even when talking about it feels overwhelming.

Making art bridges the gap between verbal and non-verbal communication and gives shape to what's happening on the inside. No art skills or experience needed. It's about the process, not the finished product.

Who Art Therapy Helps

Art therapy works for kids, teens and adults. It can be especially helpful for:

  • Children who have a hard time putting feelings into words

  • Teens who feel stuck or shut down in talk therapy

  • Adults processing trauma, grief or big life changes

  • Anyone dealing with anxiety, stress or low self-esteem

  • People who think visually or creatively

What Sessions Look Like

Sessions are led by a trained therapist, including our registered art therapist (ATR). You might draw, paint, collage or work with other materials, then talk about what came up if and when you're ready. Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes, in person at our Newhall office or by video with simple supplies at home.

Art therapy can be used as the main approach or blended into regular talk therapy, depending on what feels right for you.
