What Couples Therapy Looks Like
You'll meet together with a therapist for 45 to 60 minutes, in person at our Newhall office or by video. With compassion and without taking sides, we help you both understand the patterns you get caught in and practice new ways of communicating.
Our goal is for both of you to feel supported, understood and more satisfied in your relationship. We move at a pace that feels right for you both.
Questions Couples Ask
What if my partner isn't sure about therapy?
That's really common. A consultation can help both of you see what therapy would look like before committing. Some people also start with individual therapy.
Will the therapist take sides?
No. Your therapist's job is to support the relationship and help you both feel heard, not to decide who's right.
Is it too late for couples therapy?
It's rarely too late to understand each other better. Even when couples are unsure about the future, therapy can help you make decisions with more clarity and less conflict.
Do you take insurance?
We accept Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicare and Medi-Cal. Insurance coverage for couples therapy varies, so our team will check your benefits before your first session.
