Why we built Creative Connections: therapy that feels personal and doesn't make you wait
Getting help should not feel like a part-time job. Too many people we talk to have spent weeks making calls, filling out forms, and waiting on lists, all while the thing they needed help with kept getting heavier.
Why we built it
We built Creative Connections because we believed it could be different. Our mission is simple. We want getting help to be simple, personal, and within reach. You can read our full mission, vision and values here.
What guides us
Four values guide how we run things. Access, because everyone deserves care and cost and waitlists should not be the thing that stops you. Connection, because therapy works best when you feel like a real person is on the other side. Excellence, because we hold ourselves to a high standard of care. Integrity, because we tell you the truth about how everything works.
A supported team
We also care about the people doing the work. Our team is supported, supervised, and encouraged to grow, because therapists who feel supported show up better for their clients. That culture is not a side project for us. It is how the whole practice runs.
What you get
What you get is the personal, boutique feel of a small practice, sessions in person in Newhall or by video, and a real effort to match you with someone who fits. For people 25 and under, you may qualify for no-cost care through a California state-funded program. We also work with Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser, Medicare and Medi-Cal.
Care across counties
We are one of only three standalone practices in California working in this kind of state-supported partnership, and we are proud to bring that care to families across multiple counties, including rural communities where care has been harder to find.
How getting started works
We tried to make the first step as small as possible. You text us at 661-383-2252 and tell us a little about who the therapy is for. Our client care team reaches out directly, answers your questions, and checks eligibility and coverage before your first session so there are no surprises. If you would like to talk first, your first step can be a free 15 minute consult. From there, we match you with a therapist who fits, and you choose in-person sessions in Newhall or video.
What we commit to
We cannot promise a particular result, because therapy does not work that way. What we can promise is how we will treat you. We will explain how things work in plain language. We will tell you the truth about cost, timing and what to expect. We will work to keep waits short. We will listen when something is not working and adjust. And we will treat you like a person, not a case number.
Who we are built for
We built Creative Connections for kids, teens and young adults, and for the parents and caregivers who want help without a maze of calls and forms. We also built it for the clinicians who do this work, so they have the support to keep showing up well.
